There's no reason to stay indoors when the snow flies! Bundle up and come to Delafield, which is hosting a number of lively events and activities this winter.
Wide-open spaces in the heart of pristine nature make Delafield an ideal launching point for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. The 17-miles of Lapham Peak's cross-country ski trails are a popular wintertime destination. Lapham Peak is the only state park that has a lit trail (2.5-miles) and snow making equipment to help preserve the ski trail for season-long enjoyment. The groomed trails can accommodate for all abilities. Beginners can try out the special 0.4-mile loop made just with them in mind. Ski rentals are available on weekends. The quiet woods of Naga-Waukee Park and the level Glacial Drumlin State Trail are open to cross-country skiers throughout the winter.

Snowshoe enthusiasts are welcome on many of the trails, with Lapham Peak carving out a special 5-mile trail for this brand of winter fun.
When snow covers the Glacial Drumlin State Trail, it's your chance to take in the best of winter on your snowmobile. The 40-mile trail also connects to other county snowmobile trail systems.
Winter fun can be found indoors, too. In addition to the outdoor skating pond in Lapham Peak, the Olympic-size Naga-Waukee Ice Arena offers indoor ice-skating year-round.
