The City of Delafield, with it’s rugged outdoor beauty, award winning restaurants and lodging, specialty shopping, and timeless style, is a year-round destination and an excellent central location to enjoy activities in both Milwaukee and Madison.

Delafield, tucked away in the heart of Kettle Moraine, just 30 minutes west of Milwaukee and 60 minutes east of Madison. The City of Delafield is located in Southeastern, Wisconsin!











Just 90 minutes north of Chicago and 30 minutes west of Milwaukee, the City of Delafield is tucked in Southeastern Wisconsin’s “Lake Country”. Art shows, theatre, music festivals and plenty of outdoor recreation choices are just a few ways to enjoy Delafield. It’s also a popular place to find rest at our 4 lodging properties, for easy access to I-94 while attending SummerFest, Wisconsin State Fair, Milwaukee Brewers baseball, Lake Country Art Festival, Waukesha Blues Fest, Oconomowoc Art Fair, SummerStage Theatre, Delafield Farmers Market, Ten Chimneys, Old World Wisconsin, Hawks Inn, and more!

Recreation in and around the city of Delafield in any season!

Boating, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, cross country skiing, golf, skate boarding, walking-hiking- biking trails galore! Local access to city, state and county parks too!

Clear Water Outdoors- 803 Genesee Street – Downtown Delafield. Kayak rentals – take to the water on Nagawicka Lake! Bring your own sports equipment or rent your aquatic gear! Access Nagawicka Lake from Naga-Waukee County Park located off Highway 83 in Delafield. Public boat launch and trailer parking of 22 spaces available. (County entrance and other fees apply.)

Dick Smith’s Live Bait & Tackle – Located off I-94/Golf Road at 2420 Milwaukee Street in Delafield – lower level of The Montage. “Largest selection of live bait in the Midwest”.  

* Sorry, there are no boat rental businesses on Nagawicka Lake. Public Access for Nagawicka Lake is from Naga-Waukee Park located on Highway 83.

Wheel & Sprocket–Delafield-528 Wells Street in downtown Delafield on the corner of Genesee Street (Hwy C) and Wells. Great access to the Lake Country and other trail 
systems of the Kettle Moraine. Rentals include bikes in the summer and cross country skis in the winter and is a full service bicycle shop.

Cross Country Ski – from groomed trails at Lapham Peak State Park with a daily ski trail conditions report to skiing on ungroomed trails at any City of Delafield park!  

Indoor Skating Rink-Nagawaukee Ice Arena- 2699 Golf Road - Just off Highway 83- next to the City of Delafield Park and Ride. Naga

Outdoor Skating Rink – Oakwood Park- at this city of Delafield park during the winter, is a full size hockey and skating rink that is maintained by the city Department of Public works team!  Signage indicates rink open or closed status. 

Nagawicka Lake – from sailing, fishing, water skiing, ice fishing or just launching your boat and spending the day on the water, visitors are welcome to use our lake!  Access for non-residents is offered at Naga-Waukee Park located on Highway 83. We love our lake and know our visitors will help us keep our lake clean. (Be sure to give your boat a nice bath before and after boating on Nagawicka Lake to help reduce the transfer of those tenacious zebra mussels.)

Bike & Walking Trail Locations: 

View the full listing of bike trails and park information in and around the City of Delafield! By boot, bike or summer skis you can use the many inter-connected trails to gear up and get moving! The map and trail information will help you choose where you start and where you end your adventure outdoors!

Golf Courses – The June 2017 U.S. Open will be held at Erin Hills which is only 30 minutes North of Delafield! There are many local courses to enjoy while visiting Delafield.

From watching a movie at Hillside Marcus Cinema to indoor ice skating or a day full of shopping, you can find activities to suit the entire family! Venture In.  

Delafield offers a large variety of small and national retailer shopping locations for those looking for items that are unique, trendy or custom-made. It’s the place to shop in Lake Country", visitors and residents both agree! Gourmet chocolates, antique shopping, boutiques featuring exclusive home furnishings and designer clothing for women and children, and many well-known popular national retail stores keep the most avid shopper busy in Delafield.

Hawks Inn & Delafield History Center –  Open for tours in May through 

October and offers Christmas at the Inn event the first weekend of December. If you have never seen an 1800’s Stage Coach stop, this is a must see and a great educational opportunity for the entire family.  
Naga-Waukee Ice Arena- 2699 Golf Rd – Senior, Public, Adult Hockey schedules are available year-round in this beautiful Ice Arena located in the City of Delafield!

Delafield Public Library500 Genesee Street – Community based cultural center offering programs and services for all ages, providing wireless connectivity, digital eBook’s & audios, book clubs, story hours and more.

snacks in-between!  The dozens of restaurants that operate in the City of Delafield, from fast food drive thru when you are in a hurry, to casual, sit down dining, provides families with choices when planning their next meal. With many visitors traveling in groups, many restaurants offer call ahead or reservations than can help plan your day! 


Grocery- Albrecht’s Delafield Market located at 3255 Golf Road is nearby LaQuinta Inn & Suites, Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites and the AmericInn Hotel and Suites, and is only a quick drive from The Delafield Hotel that is located in downtown Delafield.
In the downtown district, Daybreak Mobil & Convenience is located at 622 Genesee Street and is also home to Daybreak Prime Meats & Deli- a full deli & butcher shop! Purchase gasoline, ice, firewood, beverages, produce, meats, deli and other last minute items you might need along the way.   

Restaurants – there are so many choices of restaurants here in the City of Delafield! From national franchises such as Panera Bread, Applebee’s, Perkins, McDonalds, Burger King, etc. to the popular and successful family owned and operated restaurants such as I.d., Belfre Kitchen,  Angelina’s Ristorante, Fishbones Cajun and Creole, Delafield Brewhaus, Zin Uncommon Italian California Restaurant, Belfre Kitchen, Prime One, Waterstreet Brewery, Reveres Wells Street Tavern, Seven Seas Restaurant on Nagawicka Lake, Mazatlan Authentic Mexican Restaurant and more, are just a few examples of dining choices in the City of Delafield.
